Hi, there. It’s Lisa from lisajeffs.com. If you don’t know who I am, I am a success coach. I work with men and women and show them how to move past their limits to create the life and business of their dreams.

Today is Day 1 of Create Your Best Life series. Why am I doing this series? Why do I think it is so important to share what I know with you, and I’ll just jump right in, is because over the past maybe two months or so, I have had a multitude of men and women come to me who are feeling like they are going to implode out, like they’re going to explode inside and just … It’s going to be the end.

Why is this happening? My feelings towards this is that as a society, as a social consciousness, we are waking up to a different way of living and the old way of living is no longer serving us. I grew up in the 80’s and if you grew up in the 80’s or in the 70’s, whatever, chances are you grew up in a household that didn’t talk too much about feelings, didn’t talk about expressing themselves. If you did, that’s phenomenal. I know I didn’t and most people I know haven’t and most of my clients haven’t as well.

It’s not something that … We learn manners and we learn … Okay, my mind is going right now. We learn a lot about the basic everyday things when we’re kids. We go to school. We learn our academics. We learn all that good stuff. Our parents teach us the day-to-day things, how to dress ourselves, all these stuff. But we don’t get a lot of teaching on emotions and feelings and understanding what we’re feeling and being able to communicate what we’re feeling and all that stuff.

Now, as a society, we are waking up to the importance of having the ability to express ourselves, having the ability to communicate what we really want and understanding for ourselves what we really want because there’s a ton of people out there who don’t even know what they want. As a society, we are opening up to this new way of life and realizing that not being able to talk about what’s inside of us, not being able to communicate or communicating in ways that aren’t beneficial for either party is really hurting us on a physical level, on an emotional level. It’s affecting all areas of our life including relationships, business, everything. It affects everything.

Why it’s so important to me is because I’m seeing people getting sick because of it. Now, I’m talking to men but this isn’t just for men. This is for anyone who relates to this message. It just happens that men can relate to it maybe a little more because of the conditioning men have gone through over the years of, “We don’t talk about feelings. Talking about feelings is weak,” and all that.

That’s how I grew up, was we don’t talk about feelings. You don’t cry. I would hear from my father many times that you don’t cry. We don’t cry. Don’t cry, it’s not that bad if I would get injured or something like that. What that does is it just keeps everything inside because those feelings, those emotions, they don’t just go away. Just because we’re not talking about it, just because we’re not verbalizing it, it doesn’t mean they’re gone. They’re just inside of us and they’re manifesting all these stuff.

One of the things I work with my clients on is having aches and pains and feelings of being tired and back is hurting and you wake up and you’re just uncomfortable. This is not normal. This is how we are designed to feel. This is not how we are designed to show up in the world. It has nothing to do with age. There are plenty of people who are well into their … They’re senior citizens and feeling great and they feel like they’re 20 years old. There’s a lot of 20-year-olds and 30-year-olds and 40-year-olds who feel like they’re basically on their death bed.

One of the reasons for this is emotions are not being expressed, feelings are not being expressed. People are living on autopilot, so just getting up and going through the day. Nothing is really all that exciting. Nothing is really all that bad. It’s just monotone and that’s not what living is. That’s not creating your best life. That’s not living your best life, is feeling monotone and apathetic every single day.

Who wants to live the rest of their life like this? But a lot of people sum it up as, “Well, that’s just life. That’s just life. This is just life.” We go to work. We come home. Our relationships are subpar and that’s just how we’re living. There’s a whole another life. There’s a whole another life on the other side of that, that you’re going to be experiencing.

There’s a whole another life that a lot of people experienced every single day that is not subpar, that is not … They’re not just going through autopilot, going through the motions. They are waking up and feeling phenomenal. They are feeling extreme feelings of joy throughout their day. They are feeling extreme amounts of fulfillment. They are not waiting until retirement for them to enjoy themselves. They don’t have fears about the future. They don’t have these immense anxieties and stresses that so many people are feeling right now.

I can’t even tell you how many people reach out to me and if I put out a post or I put out a video, that just reminds people to breathe. Just breathe and relax. I get the most amount of messages from those posts, the messages I put out. I get the most amount of people giving me feedback just saying thank you, “Thank you so much for sharing that with me. I needed that reminder,” because people are not connecting to themselves. They’re not connecting with their inner self. They’re not connecting to their heart.

Now, when I say that and if you’re listening to this and you’re like, “Uh,” and that’s exactly my reaction that I would have a couple of years ago is like, “Uh, heart, no, uh, close off. Don’t want to talk about it.” And I was living this life fully in my mind. And that’s what a lot of people are doing now in society. They’re in their mind constantly. They’re thinking. They’re analyzing. They’re overthinking. They’re exhausting themselves. It’s exhausting being in your head all the time.

I know because I’ve been there, and it is freaking exhausting thoughts, thinking, worries, this and that. You are projecting years ahead into the future, worrying about what’s going to happen in 10 years, what’s going to happen in 20 years into the future. All these stuff is like this massive backpack on your back of bricks that is literally crushing you. This is, again, for a lot of men out there but it’s also for women who can totally relate to this message. If you’re a female like me, then you totally get this message as well.

What this seven days is going to be? I’m not even sure what the days are going to be because I’m going with the energy. I’m following my intuition each day. I have a rough plan that I’m going to be discussing with you guys to help ease that stress and help you to realize that your best life, creating your best life isn’t about totally overhauling everything you’re doing now and just doing everything like a complete 180. It’s really about the little things that we can incorporate every single day that are going to have that massive, massive difference.

It’s creating your best life. It’s not overhauling it overnight and switching everything around and become totally overwhelmed and then nothing happens. This is going to be a step-by-step process to really give you awareness of what’s going on right now. And if you’re not happy, or fully happy, if you’re not fully feeling fulfilled with your life, if you know something is definitely missing, if your relationships are subpar.

Why this is so important is because … Let’s be honest. I love fancy things as much as the next person. I love fancy things. I love fancy vacations. I love going on and all that stuff. But I know when I’m on my death bed, the only thing that’s really going to matter to me is my relationships, my relationships with my daughter, my relationships with my friends. My parents are probably not going to be around at that time, but my relationships with the people that matter to me.

When we are disconnected to our heart, we are not going to have those strong relationships or we’re not going to have as strong as they could be because when we’re not connected with our heart, no one else can be fully connected. Does that make sense? If we’re not fully connected to us in what we want, what makes us happy, if we’re not fully whole within our self, then nobody else is going to be filling that.

That is why this is so important to really getting whole within ourselves and living our best life just multiplies everything else in our life, our business, our relationships. If you’re struggling in your romantic relationships, then this is going to be for you because when we’re not … We can’t express ourselves, well, we don’t know how to express ourselves because we never were taught as children. Then, communication with a partner a lot of times can be just like butting like this. It’s just not working.

It’s like one person wants to be right. The other person wants to be right. This person has shut off and not talking about anything that matters to them and trust me, I’ve totally been there myself. This person is getting hurt because the other person is saying the wrong things but they don’t even know what they’re saying because they’re not even connected to themselves and it’s just a big jibble-jobbled mess.

I want you to stick with the seven days if you know yourself, you’re not living your best life right now. I want you to stick with me these seven days if you know you want your relationships to improve and that has to do with your romantic relationships, your business relationships, relationships with your kids and the relationship with yourself, because believe it or not, you have a relationship with yourself. If you think that that’s completely non-existent, then you definitely want to stick with me.

What are we going to do as well over the seven days is help you release that burden of just struggle and overthinking and all the mishmash in our head because when we’re not connected to our heart, it’s like all the energy just go [inaudible 00:13:59] to our head and we try to figure things out. We try to understand the how and it’s just this … Oh my gosh, I remember nights lying in bed and I would just be thinking and literally worrying about stuff like years into the future worrying about stuff a week from now, worrying about this, worrying about that, playing all scenarios in my head and it was just this massive amount of energy that just is swirling around and causing harm to our bodies and our emotional states and our mental states.

We want to release that because it’s not serving you. It’s not serving anyone in your life. It’s not serving your business. It’s not serving … I want you to stick with me through the seven days. I had not planned this. This had just come to my mind right now that I want to take you through a little bit of a breathing exercise if you’re still with me. We’re going to do a breathing exercise, because if you’re still with me, then you can totally relate to this message and this is going to make you start feeling a whole lot better quickly.

Our breath connects us to our self. It connects us to like us, our life force. What happens most of the time is people walk around and they’re just shallow breathing so they’re just ha, and that you can feel it. It’s like in here so it’s breathed and that does nothing if you have anxiety, depression or anything like that. That’s not helping. It’s not helping anything.

What we want to do is we want to start breathing in. When we can really start breathing in down here and breathing out, just imagine you’re breathing out those stresses from the day. It’s like a release of stress. I’m going to take you through one of the exercises I do every single morning which is it just centers you. It grounds you and it makes you just feel like you can take on the world. It’s just like such a release of all the worries and stresses. It’s called seven rounds of seven and I’m going to show you how to do it.

If you can’t make it all the way to seven, do as much as you can but I promise if you continue to do this, you will get to seven. I want you to breathe in and you just literally count to yourself and it’s one, two, three, four, five, six, seven and then you’re going to hold it for seven seconds. If you join it with me and I want you to do it right now, then you hold for seven seconds just one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, then you breathed out and you’re going to count again to seven seconds. Then, once you breathe out, you’re going to hold it again for seven seconds and you do that seven times in a row.

Now, if you’re finding it super difficult to count to seven and do it, then do it to four and work your way up, but the key is you’re focusing on your breathing and you’re breathing in deeply and you’re breathing out deeply and when you’re breathing it out, you’re breathing out all those stresses, those worries, all that stuff spinning around in your head.

That’s it. That’s it for today. It was really to give you an idea of what to expect, who this is for, if it’s for you. My guess is if you’re still watching, this is definitely for you because you can relate and we’re going to help you to really center yourself. Start understanding yourself a little better, connecting you to your heart so you can connect to everything else in your life and everything else in your life just begins to elevate. Everything in your life is going to start to elevate and that is what creating your best life is all about.
