How to Master Confident Communication in 30 Days (or Less)
Auto-Generated & Formatted Transcript
In this episode, we’re diving into three powerful ways to radically shift how you show up and how people perceive you.
In 30 days or less, people will start seeing you as the most confident version of yourself. And it’s a lot easier than you think.
I’ve been coaching top leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, and artists for over 11 years. And I’d say about 80% of them come to me saying:
“Lisa, I want to feel more confident. I know I’ve achieved a lot, but I still shrink in certain spaces. I still can’t get my ideas out the way I want to. I hide in the corner instead of contributing the way I know I could.”
Sound familiar?
Why Confidence Is Fluid And What Matters More
When someone says they want more confidence, what we often need to look at is self-esteem.
Because confidence is fluid.
One day, you might feel on top of the world. The next? Not so much. And that’s normal.
Confidence can fluctuate based on your performance, your energy, or even your posture. When I’m consistently lifting heavy weights, for example, my confidence goes through the roof.
So yes, confidence is affected by what we do with our bodies. If you’re hunched over, in your head, overthinking everything, it’ll show.
But self-esteem? That’s deeper. That’s your rooted belief in yourself, even when confidence wavers.
And if your self-esteem needs work, surround yourself with people who speak life into you. Borrow their belief until you fully embody your own.
3 Ways to Appear More Confident (Even If You Don’t Feel It Yet)
Now let’s get into the practical stuff, because I know my people love things they can practice.
If you want to master confident communication in 30 days or less, here are the three things I want you to start doing immediately:
1. Conviction Is More Powerful Than Confidence
If you want to appear more confident, you need to be convicted in what you’re sharing. That means:
It’s not just what you’re saying, it’s how you’re saying it.
Most people are constantly checking in with others:
“Does this sound right?”
“Is this okay to share?”
There’s nothing wrong with feedback. But if you instantly take someone else’s opinion as fact and dismiss your own, that’s a conviction problem.
So here’s your practice:
Write down 100 reasons your idea is amazing
Write down 100 reasons you are amazing
Read it out loud every day, looking yourself in the eye
Let your energy match your message. That’s when people start leaning in.

2. Cut the Filler Words
Even if you’re convicted in your message, if you’re constantly saying “like,” “you know,” or “um,” it dilutes your power.
Filler words erode trust. They weaken the energy behind your message.
So, try this:
Record yourself speaking naturally
Use a transcription tool to highlight all your filler words
Set the intention: “I no longer say __.”
Then start training your brain to catch and eliminate them. You don’t need to be perfect—just consistent.
Conviction without fillers? That’s potent energy.

3. Speak Louder and From Your Core
Raise your voice. Speak from your belly, not your throat.
People make snap judgments. When someone speaks with a loud, grounded voice, they’re perceived as confident.
And listen, you don’t need to yell. But you do need to claim space with your voice.
If you walk into a room full of CEOs, don’t shrink.
Project your voice. Deliver your message from your core.
Even if you’re not using fillers, if your energy is flat or your volume is low, people won’t perceive you as confident.
So again: raise your voice. Speak from your center.
