So what do you do in situations where you are feeling maybe a little bit down, a little bit hopeless? Maybe you’ve been in a lot of highs in your work or in your career and you’re at a point where either it’s stagnant or you feel like you’re backtracking a little bit. You can shift this state and you could shift it fast, and it doesn’t matter what is going on externally, it matters what is going on internally and that will always be reflected back. So keep listening, because we’re going to go more in depth in this episode. If you are feeling a little bit stuck, a little bit stagnant, maybe like you’re backtracking — you’re not sure what to do, magnetic Leader, before we get started.

If you are in a place where you want support getting clear what your vision is so you know the exact next steps to take. You want a vision that is completely aligned to your values. If you want to not only create financial success, but you also want internal success, and you want help with accountability to take the courageous actions to allow your vision to be seen in the physical reality and not just a dream within you, then please go to my website, lisajeffs.com. Book a Power Play call and we can talk about the Magnetic Leadership Accelerator or private coaching.
I am so passionate about getting people into this framework that I’ve been honing through the Magnetic Leadership Accelerator because I’m seeing the results of it. I’m seeing how fast people are shifting and creating lives and businesses and money and fulfillment on levels that used to take so much longer and it’s happening so quickly. If you are in a place where you’re feeling a little bit stagnant or you’re feeling like you’re backtracking, maybe you achieved a lot of success or a lot of growth and things have slowed down.
The key is, what we want to do is we don’t want to give it a whole bunch of meaning and energy to where we are creating more of what we don’t want. So I’ll give you an example from my own life.

03:21
This is a pattern that I had to do a lot of work to shift. It was a very obvious pattern. I knew it wasn’t serving me, but I kept falling into it. So earlier in my business I would go through almost the feast and famine cycle, where it would be great for a couple of months and then a couple of months would be slower, and the problem I was having was I wasn’t being easy about it. So I would see slower months.
And what it was doing was it was triggering an old survival wound within me. It was triggering a feeling I used to have as a child, watching my parents go through similar feasts and famines in their business. In my dad’s construction — he owned a corporate construction enterprise — and I was just reliving the same pattern over and over again. That’s all it was. It was just a pattern and I was continuing the pattern.
04:27
What I had to do to heal that pattern was I had to stop giving the slower times the meaning that it meant something about me. I was going into places in my mind where I was picturing and thinking that I’m never going to make money again. The money’s never going to come. Money was dependent on me taking certain actions and then, within those slow periods, instead of doing the inner work, I was only focused externally and I was doing a whole bunch of actions — going this way, going that way — and the problem was I was doing all these actions in the absolute wrong energy, and taking action in fear creates more fear.
05:23
So for me to break through that pattern, I had to get to the point where it was almost like an epiphany and a deeper understanding that internal, our internal state, our state of being, is the key. And once we align our state of being to abundance mindset, to trust that everything is going to work out, to the identity that I actually want to live in — not the fear program — and it was me getting clear what that identity was. So who am I living, what is she thinking, what is she believing? How is she showing up every day? And once I aligned those internal states, then the action steps started taking care of themselves.
I would get natural, intuitive hits, I would get the inspiration needed to take action. The action was a simple byproduct of my internal world aligning to my vision and it wasn’t about me sporadically trying to make things happen. So I need you to realize that it doesn’t matter where you are in your business, in your career, if things look like they aren’t going anywhere, if it looks like it isn’t happening and you’re starting to wonder and get worried — is anything going to change?
Going into worst case scenarios, et cetera, et cetera. That you can change your reality very quickly, that you can change your internal state, which is then going to change your external world, and the key is to release the fear. The fear is going to keep you connected to the pattern you no longer want. The judgment of what you’re experiencing is also connecting you to what you do not want.
07:51
So part of the work that I do with my private clients or clients in the Magnetic Leadership Accelerator is we got to get to a place of neutrality. So a lot of times it’s very hard for people to get to, let’s say, a place of full gratitude and appreciation of something that they are not happy with, is experiencing a lot of.
They’re experiencing a failure or they’ve had, let’s say, a falling out with a business partner or even with a romantic partner, because that affects our work as well. Or maybe it is a money issue, maybe they’ve lost a lot of money or they’ve gone into debt, et cetera, et cetera. Going from that place to, let’s say, a place of oh, I’m going to have complete gratitude and appreciation for this quote-unquote failure or this quote-unquote debt.
08:49
For a lot of people it’s easier, as a first step, to get into a place of neutrality, which simply means I’m going to release the judgment around it. So I’m going to see whatever is happening as just a part of my journey, just a learning step, not something that I’m going to identify about myself. So, for example, when I’m working with my male clients, if they’ve experienced a divorce, a lot of my male clients will internalize that more so than my female clients.
And of course, I’m not trying to gender this, because there’s obviously — it’s never black and white — but a lot of them will internalize that as them being the failure. Or if there is a business that didn’t go well, a lot of my male clients will internalize that as they’re the problem. It’s something about them, they’re the failure, as opposed to seeing it simply as no, this project failed, this relationship didn’t work out because of these reasons, and it’s not an indication that I am a failure.
So we don’t necessarily have to have a massive amount of gratitude and appreciation for something not working out, but it’s important to get to a place of neutrality, to then start to shift that pattern, because anytime we are in judgment of something, we are attached to that experience and we just keep getting more.
10:37
So first step is to release the judgment. It’s okay, life isn’t meant to be all roses and buttercups. Especially if you are ambitious, especially if you are creating something beyond status quo, you’re going to experience shit that doesn’t work, that fails, that goes absolutely haywire. I don’t know anyone in my life, in my professional life, and I know a lot of amazing creatives and leaders and executives — that they don’t have a story.
And the more successful they are, the more shit shows they’ve experienced. If you’ve never experienced some kind of shit show or something that is a hot mess express, you’re likely you got a lot more to go, or you’re not dreaming big enough or you’re not being as ambitious as you could be, because it’s really just part of the process and it’s okay. So, going back to the steps, we gotta have neutrality.

11:53
Then a lot of the work that I do revolves around beliefs. So we gotta do the belief work because, again, any kind of place that we’re in, any kind of situation, that is not what we want to experience — we have to look at the beliefs that we hold in regards to what we are experiencing. So what limitations are we keeping alive? So this is the foundational belief work.
We have to understand what we believe about ourselves. We have to understand what we believe about the world, about other people, about business, about money, about success. All this stuff we got to get clear. All this stuff, all the beliefs, start breaking them down and the ones that are not serving us or our vision — we have to release and change and bring in the beliefs that we want.
12:51
Instead, we want to get to a place where we’re not just believing something but we know something. It’s an inner knowing such as I know I’m always going to be supported. I know the universe, or God or anything you align with — a higher power — always says yes to me, to me that I am not a victim of my circumstances, nothing is happening to me. I am the key. So if I say that there is lack and scarcity and I am scared, the universe says yes, here you go. Yes, here you go lies in stating what I want, not what I’m afraid of. So I know, if I say the universe is wildly abundant, I am always supported. I am part of the divine. I am part of the divine.
14:01
The universe says yes — here you go — and that is our place of power. So we have to do that deeper, foundational work. And of course, that is a key of what I do with my clients, because without that work we’re just doing surface levels. And we’re not here to do surface level stuff, we’re here to get to the core of transformation. This is how we create a career, a business, that is deeply fulfilling and lucrative. Next, we got to talk about the vision.
14:38
So a lot of times when someone is in a place where they’re feeling stagnant or they just can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, they are disconnected from their original vision. A lot of times they are — whether they had a vision or not — it’s hard for them to go and think really big. They may be back in survival mode. They may be just thinking about how do I get through this month? What do I need to do right now? It’s really important to connect back into the bigger vision and get yourself out of small thinking, survival thinking, that is coming from a fear program…
