About a month ago the operators of Anthrodesk reached out to me to see if I would like to review a standing desk converter. The funny thing was, I had been toying around with getting a standing desk for awhile. Specifically about 8 months after a recommendation from my chiropractor. You see the trouble with my back all started almost 5 years ago. I got seduced into the hustle mentality of the entrepreneurial world. And found myself working 16 hour days, often in front of a computer. Which let me tell you… IS NOT GOOD for anyone’s back!

Within a year I knew I had to make some drastic changes.

I was burning out and my back was a mess. I was constantly needing to have the knots worked out just so I could function without pain.

I decided to make some changes. Such us taking regular breaks, exercising regularly and seeing a chiropractor.

The result… my body and back began to feel much better.

Fast forward to 8 months ago, after an unfortunate crappy office chair purchase. My back issues began to return. I could feel my shoulders tightening and curving inward. And the DREADED knots returned.

Back to the chiropractor I went…

One of the recommendations mentioned earlier was to try a stand-up desk.

After looking around and being unsure what to get or what would be the best for my needs, I was extremely happy when Anthrodesk reached out.

So here is my review after using the desk for about a month…

PROS

Was super easy to put together: I was a bit unsure when it arrived in a large box. But assembly was a breeze! Took about 10 minutes to have it up and running.

Doesn’t take up too much room: My office isn’t huge so saving space is always a BONUS!!

Is adjustable: This option was awesome. The adjustability allowed me to find the right height no matter what surface I used it on.

Takes tension off my neck: This is massive, my neck and shoulders will often get strained while I am sitting at my desk for long hours. Using the standing desk converter has helped me avoid the neck tension which allows me to get more done with less pain.

CONS

I’ve been using it for a month and haven’t noticed any yet. It’s well made and does it’s job.

CONCLUSION

This is the first standing desk converter I’ve used so I don’t have anything to compare it to. However for anyone looking to improve their posture and ease back pain brought on by too many hours sitting at your desk, I highly recommend it.
